The adopted text amendments create a new Chapter of the Bend Development Code to regulate wireless telecommunications facilities (e.g., cell towers). These regulations are intended to (1) protect and promote the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Bend; (2) preserve neighborhood character and protect aesthetic quality; (3) encourage siting in preferred locations and (4) minimize adverse visual impacts through careful design, configuration, screening, and camouflaging.
