Abstract:
The purpose of this research project is to provide patterns and comparisons found
in the utilization of an education collection within natural history museums.

education collections and the use of objects within educational programming. Each
case study will examine the management and care of these collections, as well as
the organization and classification of the objects. This research will also look at the
uses of these objects in educational programming at three natural history museums.
A research project was conducted in order to assess the value and utilization of
education collections in natural history museums according to selected museum
