Queer Studies

The University of Oregon is a world-class teaching and research institution that encourages thoughtful discussion and academic excellence in passionate, distinctive, and unconventional ways. It is a central goal of the university not only to advance knowledge in every arena of the human experience, but to do so with innovative and inter-disciplinary teaching and research. At the University of Oregon, you are part of an activist community; energized by students and faculty members who live out the university motto, Mens agitat molem (Minds move mountains).

The Queer Studies (QS) Scholars' Bank represents one important part of this larger educational and research mission, allowing for the sharing of academic, political, and activist writing that engages with the field of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer studies. This Scholars' Bank community is part of an overall commitment to highlighting the academic contributions of our campus community in the areas of queer theory, queer politics, sexual identity, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression into an accessible and streamlined reference. The QS Scholars' Bank is an on-line database where you can post work-in-progress or find other scholars working on similar issues.
