Captured March 16, 2009.Announces decision initiating project developing a designated OHV trail by using existing roads, existing areas of past disturbance (skid trails, temporary logging roads, and firelines), and minimal new trail construction (5.5 miles) along road corridors of FRs 40, 43, and 44. This trail will move ATV and motorcycle traffic from approximately 12.7 miles of motorized mixed-use traffic on FR 40 to approximately 11.9 miles of newly designated ATV trail that parallels the road. The entire trail will be approximately 30 miles long and will provide ATV access from Stevens Ridge to Big Butte.
