Reducing potential damages improves public safety and economic stability. The mitigation plan identifies resources, information, and strategies to reduce risks from natural hazards, and guides the County’s mitigation activities. [From the Plan] This Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan was developed through a regional partnership funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program. The Mid/Southern Willamette Valley Region grant was awarded to support the development of natural hazard mitigation plans for communities in the region.
