Examining committee chair: Dr. Patricia Dewey. The purpose of this case study is to identify strategies for the development of museum education materials and programs for K-12 students at the Thunderbird Lodge Preservation Society, a historic house museum in Nevada. I examined current literature regarding the state of public education, museum education, and museum-school partnerships and collaborations. I conducted an in-depth case study of the Thunderbird Lodge Preservation Society in order to identify the strengths of the museum, and the needs of local educators. Based on the findings of the study, I make recommendations for the content and structure of a K-12 educational program in the form of an executive summary to be presented to board members and staff.728255 bytesapplication/pdfen-USContent Standards, Arts Education, and Elephant Feet: Identifying overlapping needs and resources in the case of the Thunderbird LodgeThesis
