Treatment units are strategically located on the landscape so that firefighters can safely and effectively manage wildfires, with an emphasis on protecting recreation areas, eagle and osprey habitat, riparian reserves, the Sheridan and Browns Late Successional Reserves, and the West and South Bachelor Roadless Area.
