Maps, tables, appendices. Published August, 2002. Captured February 25, 2009.The Portland Development Commission (PDC) conducted an inventory of all of the residential units in the Center City to better understand the overall housing availability in this market area. The inventory provides information on the amount of housing, the type of housing, and the affordability of the housing. This information is critical to effectively developing and evaluating city policies and initiatives related to housing availability and affordability. While similar inventories have been conducted in various subdistricts, this is the first comprehensive inventory since the Central City Housing Inventory conducted by PDC in 1996.
