Precision measurements will be crucial to its mission, which will be achieved through exceptionally accurate detectors like SiD. An upgrade has been proposed for the design of the Electromagnetic calorimeter, replacing the current analog pixel model with a higher granularity one with digital pixels. This analysis considers the potential improvements to physics studies with this upgrade by considering the capabilities of separating dijet events from W and Z decays with the current detector model and potential improvements with a high granularity upgrade.en-USCC BY-NC-ND 4.0Particle PhysicsInternational Linear ColliderDetector OptimizationW and Z Boson SeparationHighly Granular CalorimetryThe Importance of Highly Granular Calorimetry in Reconstructing Jets with Electromagnetic Energy at Linear CollidersThesis/Dissertation0009-0000-0113-3276
