The City of Idanha asked the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for a study to address the following primary issues: pedestrian and bicyclist safety, specifically along OR 22 through the city; speeding, specifically along OR 22 through the city; lack of street design along OR 22 that helps to create a “sense of place.” The purpose of the study was to examine alternative roadway treatments along OR 22 and other transportation solutions that could help address safety concerns while creating a sense of place through roadway design concepts or transportation solutions.
