Beaver dams divert and pool water which can leave the trails submerged. Salem’s seasonally wet climate, in addition to the surge in river levels due to snow melt, and the resurgence of beavers necessitates a design alternative extending the usability of the flooded trails during these times. The City of Salem has partnered with a Portland State University Capstone team to reach a design solution for this problem.en-USCreative Commons BY-NC-ND 4.0-USMinto-Brown Island Park BoardwalkOther
