The Plan will serve as a guide to local planning officials when making long term transportation decisions. The City is currently completing its Periodic Review of the City's Comprehensive Plan. The Transportation System Plan will eventually be adopted as the transportation element of the revised Comprehensive Plan. Appendix A outlines requirements for small cities set forth in the Transportation Planning Rule, and includes proposed amendments to Harrisburg's existing Ordinances relating to street design standards.
