The country is progressing to find solutions to these problems though, including the opening of a new track and field stadium in the capital city, Majuro. The stadium will also act as a sea-wall to combat the rising sea levels. This new facility will provide the access to sport that the country is lacking, and combat not only the rising sea levels, but potentially obesity and participation in sport as well (Future Marshall Islands Stadium, 2022).
