The HMA is bordered on the east by the Owyhee Reservoir, on the south by the Leslie Gulch Road, and on the north by the Owyhee Dam. Captured August 2, 2007.The purpose and need of the proposed action is to remove an estimated 160 horses from the Three Fingers HMA to attain a thriving ecological balance between horses, wildlife, livestock, and vegetation.
