Abstract:

An analysis of the site at 1933 West Burnside Street, Portland, Oregon and its feasibility as the location of a new public Mediatheque.  The paper looks at the history, connection to transit, nearby neighborhoods, local demographics, existing context, and plans for the future.  The study was part of preparation for a Masters in Architecture design thesis entitled "Portland Mediatheque."
