Modify the land use designations of 28.15 acres of the remaining City-owned land ti the vicinity of the Seavey Meadows development. The Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment will retain the properties' existing Comprehensive Plan Map Natural Resources and Natural Hazards Overlays, but wi1l change the underlying Comprehensive Plan Map designations from the current designations of Medium High Density Residential (16.38 Acres) and Medium Density Residential (11 77 Acres) to Open Space - Conservation.

Revise the Land Development Code (LDC) definition for Agricultural Sales so that a small amount of retail sales of agricultural food products can occur. This LDC definition is contained in Section 3.0.30.03.a. The Council provided guidance for the parameters of this Land Development Code Text Amendment. This guidance is outlined on pages 10 and 11 of the attached August 10, 2010, memo from Community Development Director Ken Gibb to the Corvallis Mayor and City Council. The Council did modify the guidance in item "3.c" on page 10 ofthat memo such that "local agricultural area" became defined as the Oregon counties of Benton, Linn, Lane, Lincoln, Marion, and Polk. This Amendment will not affect agricultural lands, since the use type of Agricultural Sales is not allowed in the City's Agricultural - Open Space (AG-OS) Zone.

Development codes are ordinances implementing a local government's comprehensive plan. They include two components: a zoning ordinance and a subdivision ordinance, which may be adopted and published as separate documents under their own titles. In some cases the sections pertaining to subdivision of land may be included in the zoning ordinance.

Corvallis : Multi-hazard mitigation plan (2007)

This Mitigation Plan addresses all levels of natural hazard events and some human caused hazards as well. The Plan includes minor events such as winter storms or localized storm water flooding that may happen in some locations almost every year and localized events such as landslides or mudslides. The plan also includes larger events such as major floods, earthquakes, or major wildland/urban interface fires that may affect large numbers of residents in Corvallis, with very high levels of damages and losses, albeit with much lower probabilities of occurrence. Corvallis : Community wildfire protection plan for Vineyard Mountain

This plan has two main goals. First, to provide silvicultural prescriptions that can reduce the risk of property loss, due to wildland fire, in the Vineyard Mountain subdivision. Second, to promote a better understanding of how to take preventative measures that may help prevent the loss of structures during a wildland fire. This plan also discusses the potential for both crown fires and surface fires in the Vineyard Mountain subdivision, and makes recommendations to help reduce the risk of property loss in the case of such fires.
