West Linn: OR 43 conceptual design plan

The purpose of this project was to develop a multi-modal Conceptual Design Plan for OR 43 that adequately accommodates bicycles, pedestrians, automobiles, and trucks. The final conceptual design strikes a balance between enhancing multi-modal opportunities, accommodating regional needs, providing an arterial street function, and supporting adjacent land uses within the City of West Linn. To meet these charges, the project considered roadway features such as pedestrian crossings, street trees, landscaping, transit stops, and lighting to better support the needs of all roadway users (as well as adjacent land uses). The West Linn Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan includes resources and information to assist city residents, public and private sector organizations, and others interested in participating in planning for natural hazards. The mitigation plan provides a list of activities that may assist the City of West Linn in reducing risk and preventing loss from future natural hazard events. The Vision Statement describes the neighborhood's sense of identity and vision for its future. The Goals, Policies and Actions section identifies issues that are of concern to the residents of the neighborhood and potential strategies for addressing those concerns. The Building History Inc. team performed a reconnaissance survey update for the Willamette survey area and the Holly-Grove survey area using the newly developed draft reconnaissance level survey methods developed by the Oregon State Historic Preservation Office. This included a review of existing survey data which had been collected by the Winterbrook Team(2002-2003), field work including the recording basic architectural information for 111 properties in two survey areas, a preliminary eligibility assessment and a photograph of each property in the survey area, and the preparation of data for entry into the SHPO database.... West Linn’s current Comprehensive Plan, local Ordinance and IGA with Clackamas County Historic Review Board (CCHRB) is consistent with the purposes of the National Historic Preservation Act, as well as applicable state legislation and other local ordinances affecting historic properties in Oregon. The City of West Linn satisfies the criteria for becoming a Certified Local Government. [From the Document]

The goals and policies of the Bolton Neighborhood Plan will have the same effect as goals and policies of the West Linn Comprehensive Plan, as applied to the Bolton Neighborhood. They supplement the goals and policies of the Comprehensive Plan, and do not conflict with them. Where the Bolton Neighborhood Plan does not discuss a particular issue, the Comprehensive Plan goals and policies shall have authority.
