Item Open Access Westside Salem integrated non-native plant management plan environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact(2008-01-16) United States. Bureau of Land Management. Salem DistrictThis EA (environmental assessment) discloses the predicted environmental effects of one project on federal and non-federal lands located in the MP (Marys Peak) and Tillamook RAs (Resource Areas), of the Salem District of the BLM (Bureau of Land Management). The project proposes to implement a long term IWM (Integrated Weed Management) Plan to reduce and control NNP (non-native plant) species across the MP and Tillamook RAs. It includes cultural, physical, biological and chemical control of NNP species in a variety of habitats and land use allocations. The action would occur within all land use planning areas including but not limited to; LSR (Late- Successional Reserve), RR (Riparian Reserve), AMA (Adaptive Management Area) and Matrix LUAs (Land Use Allocations) and ACECs (Areas of Critical and Environmental Concern). The number of acres treated annually would be based on available funding, weather, and condition of the NNP sites. Physical treatments would occur on up to 1,500 acres per year (0.65% of Westside Salem BLM lands).
