dc.description.abstract | This qualitative and experiential research focuses on the nexus of language with educational and artistic goals within dance communities. The study shares descriptive language identified during my Master of Fine Arts Movement Project community's collaborative processes, as we explored "skill training" and "art making" in dance over a period of 10 weeks. Recommendations emerge through discussion of current dance dialogic models and collaborative language resources for dance. Reviewed resources outside the dance field provide additional support and context. Based on the community's shared experiences and the researcher's investigations, suggestions are made for increasing quality of practice in dance and language articulation. Practical applications are offered. | en_US |
