The public promenade creates an opportunity to unite the fragmented city of downtown Honolulu, Hawaii with a series of linked social interventions. Reflective of the ancient Hawaiian zoning order, each intervention is conceptually based on the physical entities that occupied historic Hawaii. Mixed with the surrounding natural environment and programmed event space, each intervention creates a cultural sense of place.en_US
