dc.description.abstract | EA proposes to remove a portion of recently blown down trees within 50 and 100 year-old stands in AMA (Adaptive Management Area) and RR (Riparian Reserve) LUAs (Land Use Allocations) within the NCRAMA (North Coast Range Adaptive Management Area). The project proposes to remove a portion of these trees to reduce the risk of the population build-up in bark beetles, and the resulting infestation of adjacent healthy trees, as well as reduce the likelihood of fire killing the remaining live trees by meeting a need to reduce high surface fuel loadings. FONSI finds no environmental impact statement is needed. | en |
