Public land ownership consists of: BLM (42,000 acres), State of Oregon (2,381 acres), and Deschutes County (821 acres). dc.description.abstractProposes to reduce the potential for high-intensity wildfires by manipulating vegetation to decrease surface and crown fire behavior, including revolving surface fuel loading, ladder fuel presence, and crown bulk density. Focuses on treating vegetation within the wildland urban interface up to 1.5 miles from community boundaries, with the boundary subdivided into three bands of treatment prescriptions. Includes pre-commercial and commercial thinning, and prescribed burning.en
