The applicants, Julie Hendrix and Jan Olson, have requested access to their lands under a Short Term O&C Road Permit. Use of 0.47 miles of the existing BLM road #15-8-7 and construction of a 544-foot temporary spur would provide an opportunity to manage approximately 15 acres of the applicants' forest land. In the proposed action, BLM would allow construction of the temporary ridge top spur to avoid the detrimental impacts of the applicants' alternative route, which would require switchbacks on steep terrain. FONSI finds no need for environmental impact statement.en
