Abstract

Proposes to do a commercial thinning harvest on 1170 acres on 17 units, with cable, helicopter, and ground-based logging of second growth forest located in the Calapooya, Lower North Umpqua, and Elk Creek Watersheds. Includes permanent and temporary road construction, road renovation and improvement, subsoiling of previously compacted skid trails, road decommissioning, habitat restoration and fuel reduction (burning of landing piles).
