Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to encourage more thoughtful consideration for adult
participation in the community arts, and to explore the many factors that can affect an adult’s quality of experience during a community art program. By addressing these issues I hope that more meaningful adult programs will be developed and that more adults will recognize the important role art can have in their lives. In effect, there could be greater appreciation and support for the arts in our communities.
