Abstract
This document is the Comprehensive Plan for Yamhill County. The planning
area includes all of Yamhill County, with full consideration of its ten member
cities and the large Federal ownerships in the western part of the County.
Piecemeal efforts at preparing and implementing plans for major sections of
the County and a number of its cities have been carried out in recent years,
but nearly all of these projects have been carried out on a one-time, consulting
basis and lacked sufficient scope, resources and political and citizen
commitment. This study is the first major effort undertaken by the
County government and the citizens themselves utilizing their own resources
to chart the future for all of the Yamhill County community and follow through
with a strong commitment to implementation. [From the Plan]
