Abstract

Proposes to restore and develop 688 acres of open, low-density savanna forest dominated by large ponderosa pine Douglas-fir, and Oregon white oak through removal of 100 year-old conifer trees that have colonized the area in question subsequent to the commencement of fire suppression. Includes increasing biodiversity by providing habitat to facilitate persistence of a number of open forest dependent plant and animal species.
