dc.description.abstractAlbany Development Code amendment to Article 6-Floodplain to allow for the use of best available information (floodplain studies and boundaries) if adopted by the City Council by resolution. FEMA approval is no longer required. This will enable the use of the North Albany Floodplain Study, which was recently completed, and which differs significantly from the FEMA clFIRMs in both the depth and extent of flooding, as well as the presence of an unmapped floodway.en_US
