Abstract

The preparation of the Jefferson County Transportation System Plan was a cooperative effort of Jefferson County, the Cities of Madras, Culver, Metolius, the unincorporated communities of Camp Sherman and the Crooked River Ranch, and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The purpose of this plan is to enable Jefferson County to comply with the requirements of the Oregon Transportation Planning Rule (OTP), and to guide transportation and land use planning decisions within the county over the next 20 years. The plan includes specific recommendations on transportation improvements to improve the operation and safety of the existing transportation network within Jefferson County. [From the Plan]
