This digital recording copies an audiocassette recording of a lecture by Marion Dean Ross at the Maude Kerns Art Center, Eugene, Ore., on May 24, 1988. The length of the recording is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Description

This recording features a lecture on Eugene houses presented by Marion Dean Ross, University of Oregon professor of art history (1947-1978). Ross was the preeminent scholar of Oregon architecture and was often invited to give lectures. The recording was digitized from an audiocassette recording made live during Ross's presentation at the Maude Kerns Art Center, Eugene, Ore., May 24, 1988. Ross was born in Williamsburg, Pa., in 1913, and died in Eugene, Ore., in 1991.
