Abstract
Proposes to conduct forest vegetation management activities on approximately 11,300 acres, including commercial timber harvest (2375 acres), precommercial thinning (5395 acres), natural fuels underburning (5450 acres), activity fuels underburning (4573 acres), hand piling (410 acres), and riparian and hardwood enhancement (149) acres). Also includes 4.8 MMBF of commercial timber harvest, the construction of new permanent and temporary roads, reconstruction of existing roads, and decommissioning and closure of other roads.

This Environmental Assessment (EA) describes an analysis of vegetation treatments, including
commercial timber harvest, in the Marks Creek Watershed and Veazie Creek Subwatershed (Lower
Ochoco Creek Watershed), Lookout Mountain Ranger District, Ochoco National Forest. The Bandit II
Project Area encompasses approximately 39,200 acres.
