The purpose of this master's capstone is to examine the history of contributed revenue streams for nonprofit arts organizations in the United States and the role those streams play in the current arts nonprofit funding environment. Through a synthesis of coursework and an extensive literature review, this research serves to inform arts leaders as to major trends and areas to be aware of regarding contributed income and the arts, which assists in enabling them to navigate the present funding environment as well as plan for the future.en
