Abstract

Proposes to utilize a combination of prescribed burning and wildfire, western juniper treatments, fencing, seeding, planting, and other methods to reduce juniper-related fuel loading and restore a healthy and natural ecosystem on Steens Mountain.

Description

The proposed project area is a 336,000-acre complex of private land and public land administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) located within the Andrews Resource Area primarily within the Steens Mountain Cooperative Management and Protection Area (CMPA).
