dc.description.abstract | This paper explores the counterculture art movement of Internet and new media culture jamming and its social impact on existing hierarchy in mass media and the arts. Common to this movement is an empowerment of traditionally disenfranchised social groups including youth and the impoverished. This study seeks to analyze this phenomenon and draw conclusions as to its ability to affect society through the manipulation of popular culture. Research will be through literature review and cross-disciplinary coursework towards the completion of a Capstone in Arts Management with a focus on the area of Multimedia. | en_US |
