Buildings consume enormous quantities of the Earth’s resources in their construction and operation, thus it is imperative that building materials are chosen which decrease the environmental burden as much as possible. Incorporating recycled building materials reduces the demand for raw materials and diverts material from landfills. Included is a sample palette of a few recycled materials for exterior enclosure, wall finishes, roof enclosure, ceiling finishes, and floor finishes.en
