Abstract
With the COVID-19 pandemic still in full swing, the student and teacher alike across the world have experienced the pitfalls and positives of online learning. With feelings such as zoom fatigue, along with the issue of maintaining student engagement and facilitating personal growth in schooling, these are not new problems with the current education model. What is a viable alternative to the status quo which gives way to an environment of self-improvement, growth, and engagement? Experiential education is a term used for a hands-on type of learning for students with the goal of personalizing the student experience in a direct and active manner. With the end goal of preparing them for participation within the greater society. The aim of this research paper is to define some of the recognizable and old issues that are still present within the system and to define the benefits of experiential education as a viable alternative to the status quo.
