Abstract

Announces decision to approve pre-commercial thinning projects. The purpose of this project is to reduce stand densities, prolong early seral stage stand structure, increase growth rate of dominant trees, and enhance species diversity. Associated hazardous fuels reduction would reduce fuel bed depths along major roads and improve condition class. A total of 3761 acres of plantations have been identified as potentially benefiting from thinning under this proposal.
