dc.description.abstract | In the current issue of CultureWork, Grady Hillman chronicles his experience visiting the Oregon State Correctional Institute (OSCI) with a cohort of university faculty, graduate students, and community arts leadership. Their goal was to meet with the OSCI Crochet Club, a prison group that crochets blankets, caps, and other fabric items for needy organizations outside the prison. Hillman explores the surprises, contradictions, and self-reflections that arose from the experience. | en_US |
