Abstract

Proposes to return the vegetative communities to their historical state by creating an open oak woodland, reintroducing fire to a plant community that developed with fire as an integral part of its evolution, and reducing the fuel levels in the Canyon. Includes 2545 acres of prescribed burning, 600 acres of oak thinning, and 161 acres of conifer thinning. Also includes road treatments such as water crossings, maintenance, closures, and construction.
