dc.description.abstract | In 1990, the opinion of several mental health professionals in three universities in New Zealand was that "We don't have multiple personality disorder (MPD) here." While in New Zealand for four months in 1992, the author contacted therapists who dealt with victims of abuse and was able to quickly locate a number of cases of MPD and to carry out some training. The "explosion" of awareness of MPD has evidently begun there. | en |
