README for an archival copy of the following web pages of two interactive infographics: https://view.genial.ly/637a9d7b2554e10017acb1b8/presentation-prototypical-life-cycle https://view.genial.ly/63a0b66b737e8c0019316f3e/presentation-alternative-life-cycle ABOUT THE WEB PAGES The interactive infographics were created as supplementary files for Riley O’Connell’s Clark Honors College thesis: Attending to the Abstract: The Environmental and Social Implications of Fast Fashion. The infographics of each life cycle were created to provide a visual overview for readers to aid their comprehension while simultaneously providing an alternative, pointing to where action can be taken and encouraging pro-environmental behavior. ABOUT THE CAPTURE/ARCHIVAL COPY This archival copy of the website was created by the UO Libraries Digital Scholarship Services Department to provide fully interactive, sustainable long-term access to a completed website, given the ephemeral nature of the web. It was created using Archiveweb.page, a free, open-source tool that captures interactive websites, allowing for accurate replay at a later time. This interactive browser-based web archiving tool is a Webrecorder project. The file type, WARCZ (Web ARChive) format specifies a method for combining multiple digital resources into an aggregate archival file together with related information. It is used for web-accessible content in a final or archived state. WARC files are often compressed using gzip, resulting in a .warc.gz or .wacz extension. See: https://archiveweb.page/ INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Users can access the archived website either online or offline, using the Replayweb.page tool provided by Webrecorder.net. ReplayWeb.page is an open-source, browser-based viewer that loads web archive files provided by the user and renders them for replay in a Chrome browser. It functions as a serverless (client-side) web archive replay tool. Archives can be loaded as static files from anywhere a browser can connect to, or from a user's local machine. The simplest way to view the interactive infographics is to download the WACZ files to your computer, browse to Replayweb.page using Chrome as your browser, and click the Choose file option to choose the files for playing.
