The Lakeview Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration
Project (CFLR) was selected for funding in
2012. Multiparty monitoring, evaluation, and accountability
are required to assess the positive or
negative ecological, social, and economic effects of
projects implemented. Monitoring is an essential
part of adaptive management, because it provides
reliable feedback on the effects of management actions
and it allows managers to refine decisions
and project design through a learning based approach
to management. Multiparty monitoring
helps to achieve the CFLR’s goals of “improving
communication and joint problem solving among
individuals and groups” to better manage landscapes. |
