Author: Jackson County (Or.); University of Oregon. Dept. of Planning, Public Policy and Management. Community Planning Workshop; Jackson County (Or.). Emergency Management Dept.
Abstract: The Jackson County Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan includes resources and information that will assist county residents, public and private sector organizations and other interested people in participating in natural hazard mitigation activities. The Plan is organized around seven goals. Each goal includes a set of actions the County can take or coordinate to mitigate risk from natural hazards. The key activities are summarized in a five-year action plan. The Five-Year Action Plan Matrix lists the activities that will assist Jackson County in reducing risk and preventing loss from future natural hazard events. The action items address multi-hazard issues, as well as activities for flood, landslide, severe winter storm, windstorm, wildfire, earthquake and volcanic eruption hazards. [From the Plan]
