Linn County : Natural hazard mitigation plan

Zusammenfassung

Linn County developed this Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan to protect life and property and reduce damages resulting from natural disasters by reducing vulnerability to natural hazard risks. Reducing potential damages improves public safety and economic stability. The mitigation plan identifies resources, information, and strategies to reduce risks from natural hazards, and guides the County’s mitigation activities. [From the Plan] This Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan was developed through a regional partnership funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program. The Mid/Southern Willamette Valley Region grant was awarded to support the development of natural hazard mitigation plans for communities in the region. The county utilized a planning process, plan framework, and plan development support provided by the Oregon Natural Hazards Workgroup (ONHW) at the University of Oregon’s Community Service Center.
