It reviews both the mandatory provisions imposed by government and the use of voluntary instruments such as easements and private reserves that have grown in use since the early 1990s. It ends with recommendations for an improved legal framework that would enhance landowners’ ability to protect the natural values of their land.Item access-status.open.access.listelement.badge Journal of Environmental Law & Litigation : Vol. 19, No. 1, p. 004-019 : Rousing the Restless Majority: The Need for a Blue-Green-Brown Alliance(University of Oregon School of Law, 2004) Drury, Richard ToshiyukiItem access-status.open.access.listelement.badge Journal of Environmental Law & Litigation : Vol. 19, No. 1, p. 021-080 : Handling the Land Use Case: A User’s Manual for the Public Interest Attorney(University of Oregon School of Law, 2004) Olmsted, James L.
