Abstract

Proposes to provide reduced fire risk, create a more stable forest ecosystem, protect and enhance wildlife habitat, and maintain or enhance scenic views in the treatment area. Includes mechanically treating brush and/or prescribed burning of approximately 9830 acres, reducing tree stocking on 6585 acres through non-commercial and commercial thinning, treating 3225 acres of wildland-urban interface, and treating for dwarf mistletoe and bark beetle attack.
