Abstract: Updates 1996 analysis, and serves to support changed condition analysis for the Metolius Basin Forest Management Project in a watershed that was partially burned, and identifies recommendations for future management activities. Includes sections on soils, aquatic/fisheries, vegetation, insects and disease, fire and fuels, botany and noxious weeds, wildlife, heritage, scenery management system, recreation, transportation, access, and roads data.
Description: 410 pp. Tables, maps, figures, references, illus. The Metolius Watershed Analysis Area is northwest of Sisters, Oregon. It is located in the northern half of the Sisters Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest, and is within Jefferson and Deschutes Counties. It lies approximately 30 miles west of Bend, Oregon along Highway 20, which bisects the southern third of the analysis area. Captured May 15, 2007.
