Title: A Qualitative Study of Students' Views on the Effectiveness of Traditional and Online Study Abroad Orientation at the University of Oregon.
Author: Yanagishita, Shun
Abstract: One of the factors that allow students to be successful on study abroad programs is orientation. Since the University of Oregon is a public university with financial constraints, its Study Abroad Programs Office has limited staff for programming. One way to alleviate the time and staff constraints is by conducting orientation online. This study investigated which delivery method, traditional/classroom-based or online, was the most effective in students' views.
