Abstract:
This Master’s project was conducted in partial fulfillment for a Master of Arts Degree in Arts Management from the University of Oregon. The following document details the research conducted for this qualitative case study of one adult art class in a community arts setting in the Eugene-Springfield area. Included is a review of key literature on the role of trust, information
and resource networks in community building and social capital; the researcher’s methodological affiliation; and the research strategy used in the study. Finally, the document includes data collection methods, findings, and recommendations for the subject organization and the field of arts administration.
