Community Development Dept.The Northwest Tualatin Concept Plan (Concept Plan) is a guide for the industrial development of a 15-acre area at the northwestern corner of the City of Tualatin (City). The Concept Plan follows a December 2002 decision by the Metropolitan Service District (Metro) to bring the area inside the regional urban growth boundary (UGB). Metro conditioned the land for industrial development as part of a strategy to balance the supply of land for job creation. The Concept Plan allows for flexibility in industrial development while promoting compatibility with adjacent land uses and natural resources. Major objectives of the Town Center Plan include: integrating various mixes of building types and uses; encouraging more urban versus suburban development; focusing on safe/efficient pedestrian and vehicle connections; implementing required land use and transportation code amendments; and enhancing local quality of life.Item Open Access Tualatin : Transportation system plan(City of Tualatin (Or.), 2001-06) Angelo Eaton & Associates; Tualatin (Or.); Kittelson & AssociatesThe City of Tualatin, in conjunction with the the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), initiated a study of the City's transportation system in 2000. This transportation system plan (TSP) will guide the management and development of appropriate transportation facilities within Tualatin, incorporating the community's vision, while remaining consistent with state, regional, and other local plans. This report provides the City of Tualatin with the necessary elements to be adopted as the transportation element of the City's comprehensive plan. In addition, this report provides ODOT, Clackamas, and Washington Counties with recommendations that can be incorporated into their respective plans. [From the Plan]
